Contestants: The contestants section gives you information about the eighty four gorgeous Miss Universe delegates. Upon clicking on the name of the contestants you will go to another page which contains five photos of that contestant and other information about her.

Dayana Mendoza: She is the reigning Miss Universe and on August 23, 2009 she will hand over the crown to the next Miss Universe. The page contains photos of tours of Dayana Mendoza. You will also get information about her recent and past activities.

Miss Universe 2009 is now the centre of all attention in the showbiz world as the final competition of the beauty pageant is going to take place on 23 August 2009 (Sunday) at the Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas. Contestants from 84 countries are taking part in the pageant and they have already gone through preliminary competition during which they took part in swimsuit and evening gown categories. On the basis of the performance of the participants in the preliminary competition, top fifteen finalists would be decided and revealed during the final competition. Preliminary competition was shown live online throughout the world.

In my previous article, I wrote about the television coverage of Miss Universe 2009 beauty pageant in South East Asia. Now, I am going to write about the TV coverage of the final competition of the pageant in America region. Well, National Broadcasting Company (NBC) and Telemundo will telecast the two-hour long program on 23rd August from Bahamas. On both NBC and Telemundo, the final competition will be telecast live at 9 PM (ET).

NBC is one of the most popular television channels in the United States with an estimated access to 98.6% households those have televisions.
