Kenya Appointed Eldine Baptiste as New Coach

Kenya Cricket has appointed former West Indies pacer Eldine Baptiste as the new coach of Kenya national team. The announcement came after former coach Andy Kirsten’s contract had expired in May 2009.

Eldine has some background and experienced in coaching too. He is the current coach of Kwazulu Natal, one of most popular teams in domestic cricket of South Africa. Eldine was also the coach of Stanford 20/20 Super Star Series 2008 and his side won the 20 million dollars as prize money.

Kenya will tour Zimbabwe this month and this tour would be the first assignment of Eldine Baptiste as Kenya coach. After Roger Harper, he has also become the second West Indian to coach Kenya.
