Rani Mukherjee did not wear bikini in Dil Bole Hadippa

This is a promotional music video of Shahid Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee starrer, Dil Bole Hadippa. Upon the release of the video, the media went into frenzy saying that Rani Mukherjee wore bikini in her upcoming movie. Unfortunately, that is not true. If you look at the music video, you will see that the thirty one year old actress actually donned a bikini top. Rani said:

"Bikini is a very strong word. I have just worn a bikini top with salwar. When you lose weight and tone your body, people are wanting to dress you up in a different way and there is no harm in trying that,.. "In the film, I could not take liberties because the glam look would not go well with the character I play."

Dil Bole Hadippa is a romantic comedy inspired from Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum starrer, She is the Man. The movie tells the story of Veera Kaur and Rohan. Veera Kaur is a small village girl who dreams to play in the Indian National Cricket team. Rohan, on the other hand, is the captain of a successful county cricket team, who comes to India to lead his father’s cricket team. To play cricket, Veera Kaur disguises herself as a man, Veer Pratap Singh, and with her brilliant performance, makes place in Rohan’s team. The two gradually falls in love and things take a different turn.
