Rani Mukherjee and Shahid Kapoor starrer Dil Bole Hadippa is grappling with the issue of adult content. So what is the content? Well, in the movie, there is an item number of Rakhi Sawant where she revealed too much and Sherlyn Chopra’s hot outfit. For this reason, the movie was issued a U/A certificate by the Censor Board of India.
Till date, Yash Raj Films is known for giving out clean family entertainer. This certificate is a major blow to the production’s reputation. One India reports:
Vinayak Azad, Regional Officer Censor Board, revealed that Dil Bole Hadippa has been given an U/A certificate because of Sherlyn's hot outfits and Rakhi Sawant 's raunchy dance number. He added that there are no high-voltage intimate scenes and kisses.
Following the censorship, the outspoken Sherlyn Chopra has blamed designer Manish Malhotra. She claimed that he dressed her in bikini tops and shorts that ultimately ooze sensuality. She added that her role demanded her to dress so, as she plays a super model in the film .
Now days, item songs are very much in demand. They are a great way to promote movies as the appeal to a wide range of people. And the item song is all about showing skins and Rakhi Sawant and Sherlyn Chopra are famous for revealing their skins. It is item number that established their places in Bollywood movies.
