Kieran Gibbs will be in England World Cup 2010 Squad?

Well, it is not a million dollar question yet, but it could be if Kieran Gibbs can show his talent and potential over the next couple of months for Arsenal while deputizing for injured regular right back Gael Clichy. This is really important phase of Gibbs’ career as he has a great chance to make it to the final squad of England for next summer’s world cup in South Africa.

A product of Arsenal youth academy, Kieran Gibbs has already represented England in U-21 level and there is every possibility he could be one of the 23 members of England’s world cup squad. Ray Parlour, a former player of England national team, has said that he has the belief that the full back has talent, great pace and can tackle as well as go forward with sheer success could be a surprise inclusion in England’s world cup squad. However, he has also said that Gibbs must show a strong performance for Arsenal in the coming months in order to attract the attention of England manger Fabio Capello. Now, let us see if Gibbs can make what Theo Walcott did four years back by surprisingly getting an England call up for the 2006 world cup.
