Edurne Pasaban Casts Doubt on the Success of Oh Eun-Sun

You already know that South Korean climber Oh Eun-Sun has recently become world’s first woman to have climbed the 14 highest mountain peaks in the world. However, Edurne Pasaban, a climber from Spain, has cast her doubt on the success of Oh Eun-Sun.

Oh Eun-Sun climbed the Mount Kanchenjunga in May 2009. At the same time, Edurne Pasaban reached the peak of the same mountain. Pasaban now says that there is a big difference between Oh’s picture at the mountain peak and the picture that she captured at the peak.

Oh’s picture shows bare rock, while Pasaban’s picture shows snow. If both of them reached the peak almost at the same period of the year, then there should not have been any difference in weather.

So, there should be an investigation into Oh’s success before she is credited the title of first women to have reached world’s 14 highest mountain peaks.
