Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala is tying knot with Samrat Dahal

Famous Bollywood actress, Manisha Koirala is finally getting married. The would-be-groom is a Nepali businessman, Samrat Dahal. The wedding ceremony would take place in Nepal. The engagement will take place on June 18 followed by the wedding ceremony on June 19, 2010 in Kathmandu.

It will be a low key affair which will be attended by family members only. From Bollywood, Manisha Koirala’s close friend, Deepti Naval, will attend the wedding ceremony.

Later, a grand reception will be held in Mumbai. The venue of the reception had not been decided yet but it is speculated that it would take place at a five star hotel in Juhu.

A reliable source said, "The wedding, a traditional Nepali affair will span three days and will include the customary swyambar……Something called duradai will take place in stead of the usual mehndi. Manya's mother and brother Siddharth are overseeing the wedding preparations.”

Sabyasachi Mukherji and Anna Singh will design the outfits for the pre-wedding ceremony.

On her wedding day, Manisha Koirala will wear a red sari studded with diamond-and-gold work. Samrat Dahal will wear a traditional Nepali dress chosen by her sister.

Monisha Koirala and Samrat Dahal met in the U.S. Samrat is the youngest of three siblings. He is in the process of setting up an alternative energy company in Nepal. His eldest brother, Suraj, is currently the head of the Kathmandu Academy and his sister Shuvashree is doing her PhD in the U.S. Samrat has houses in the U.S and Nepal.

In 2001, Manisha Koria was engaged to Crispin Conroy, the then ambassador of Australia in Nepal. However, Manisha called off the ceremony saying that she was not ready for marriage.

Last year, Manisha, on her Facebook account said that she would get married to Christopher Dorris, an American author, speaker and mental toughness trainer. It was Dorris who first proposed Koirala and she agreed but then the marriage did not happen for some reason.

Manisha is now busy shooting movies again. She just finished working in Dipendra Khanal’s Nepali movie, Dharma. After two decades, she acted in a Nepalese movie. She is now staying in Cochin shooting a Telugu movie.
