Sri Lanka vs England T20 World Cup 2010 1st Semi Final: Time and Preview

Sri Lanka and England face each other today (13 May) in the first semi final of the twenty20 world cup 2010. The match will take place at the Beausejour Stadium, Gros Islet in St Lucia.

The match kicks off at 15:30 GMT (11:30 local). According to Indian time, the match will start at 21:00. A number of TV channels will telecast the match live for the viewers. In South Asia, ESPN will show the match live, while Super Sports will bring the live action of the match for the cricket fans in Africa.

Cricket fans are eagerly waiting for the game. Both teams showed some good performance in the earlier stages of the tournament and cricket fans are expecting another close match.

Following a strong performance against India in the last game of the Super Eight round, Sri Lanka is expected to be more confident and determined to make it to the tournament final. Last year, they failed to win the title having lost to Pakistan in the final. So, they would like to finish their incomplete work this year.

For England, this is going to be the first semi final appearance in twenty20 world cup. So, English fans also have huge expectation from the team. More than that, England would like to progress to the final and win the tournament in what would be their first ever world cup title in cricket.

Both teams have some in-form players who can change the course of the game, giving another dominating performance. While Jayawardene and Sangakkara can do the job for Sri Lanka, England can hope the same from Lumb, Kieswetter and Morgan. Above all, cricket fans are expecting an exciting semi final today.
