UEFA Champions League 2010 Final Live on Different TV Channels

Bayern Munich will face Inter Milan in the final match of the UEFA Champions League 2009-10 on 22 May at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Madrid in Spain. For the first time in the history, Champions League final will take place on Saturday, instead of Wednesday. The match starts at 18:45 GMT.

This will be the 55th final of Champions League (formerly European Cup). In 2008, Santiago Bernabéu, the home ground of Spanish club Real Madrid, was declared as the venue for Champions league 2009-10 final.

Both Bayern Munich and Inter Milan were not favorites to win the Champions league this season. Rather, clubs like Barcelona, Manchester United and Real Madrid were considered to be hot favorite for this season. However, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan surprisingly reached the final, and this season’s title would now go to either of the two clubs.

Bayern Munich last won the Champions league title in 2001 which was their last appearance in the tournament final. Bayern defeated Manchester United and Olympique Lyon in the quarter final and semi final rounds respectively.

Inter Milan last appeared in a Champions league final way back in 1972 when they lost to Ajax in the final. Inter progressed to the final after defeating CSKA Moscow in the quarter final and Barcelona in the semi final.
