The Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad UP is the biggest education board in the world. The head office of the board is located in Allahabad which is overlooked by a secretary.

The UP board has a rich history. Earlier it produced some of the best students in India but now it is not even in the top ten boards of India.

The UP board follows the 10+2 examination system. Under this system, after ten years of school education students sit for the Secondary School examination followed by Intermediate examination after two years. Both these examinations are very important for students for they determine which career he/she should take up.

Uttar Pradesh, popularly known as U.P., is located in the northern part of India. With a population over 190 million, UP is the most populous state in India and the most populous sub-national entity in the world. Had it been a country, it would have been the fifth most populous state in the world.

UP has an area of 93,933 sq miles which also covers a large part of the upper Gangetic plain. The state shares an international border with Nepal to the north.

On the north-west, it is bounded by Uttrakhand and Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Dehli, and Rajasthan on the west, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh on the south, Jharkhand on the south east and Bihar on the east.
