Uttarakhand Board High School Result (UA) 2010 has been announced on May 29, 2010 at 11 a.m. It will be announced by Uttaranchal Education and Examination Board (UEEB).

Uttarakhand is a state located in the northern part of India. It is the 27th state of India created on November 2000. Previously, it was named Uttaranchal. In 2007, the state was renamed Uttarakhand. Dehradun is the capital of the state. The high court of the state is located in Nainital.

Uttarakhand borders with China (Tibet) on the north, Nepal on the east, Uttar Pradesh on the south, Hariyana to the west and Himachal Pradesh to the north west.

In Sanskrit, “Uttara” means north and “Khanda” means part of a country. The state occupies an area of 20,682 sq miles.

The Indian government is now giving out various incentives to develop the handloom and handicrafts industry of the state. Tourism is another booming business of the state. The government is also offering tax incentives to attract IT companies.

Uttarakhand also houses some of the biggest dam projects in India such as the Tehri dam. In 2004, Uttarakhand GDP stood at $6 billion.
