Sri Lanka’s young side was totally outperformed by the young Indians on Sunday. Captain Dilshan and his team know it very well that another defeat would take them very close to an early exit from the tournament. On the other hand, Zimbabwe will be looking to continue their winning momentum against Sri Lanka too.

Zimbabwe, though ended up winning the match, was not pretty much impressive in all departments against India. Specially, their pacers gave away many extra runs and were not at their best. However, spinners did their job pretty well.

The host side can find many positives from their batting performance against India. Chasing a target of 286, their batsmen showed their character and batted with sheer responsibility. Most of their top order batsmen got runs against India. Zimbabwe will expect Taylor and Ervine to continue their current fine form against Sri Lanka too.

Sri Lanka is now under pressure. Except Kulasekara, Sri Lankan bowlers were not effective at all against India and there could be few changes in their bowling line up against Zimbabwe. Pacer Fernando could be replaced by Thilan Thushara. All rounder Jeevan Mendis could be handed his international debut against Zimbabwe.
