Brazil vs Chile: Kaka Expected to Come back Stronger

Brazilian playmaker Kaka would return to action with Brazil’s round of 16 fixture against Chile on 28 June after missing the last group match against Portugal on suspension. Kaka was given marching order during Brazil’s 3-1 win over Ivory Coast. Now, Brazilian fans are expecting that Kaka would come back fresh and stronger for the Chile showdown and put on a match winning performance.

Brazil may be happy getting Chile as their last 16 opponent, but the five-time world champion would make a big mistake, if they take their Latin American neighbors lightly. Given their group stage performance, it seems Brazil has a lot of reasons to be worried about Chile.

Chile defeated Honduras and Switzerland before losing to Spain 2-1 in Group H. However, they fought toe-to-toe with European champion Spain and could have even won the match unless they did not miss a number of scoring chances.

The most important thing is that Chile has very good attacking line up that poses considerable threat for any side when playing at best. However, Chilean defense, though looked shaky at times, nullified a number of Spanish attacks. Specially, goalkeeper Claudio Bravo showed his bravery denying Spain a number of goals.

Brazil would definitely look for a special performance from Kaka. The Real Madrid midfielder could not make any impact in the tournament opener against North Korea, but against Ivory Coast he started showing glimpses of his best.

So, nothing other than seeing an in-form Kaka on the field would give more pleasure to the Brazil fans. Kaka would also like to come back with his best form and help Brazil go through to the quarter final of the tournament.
