David Beckham to Theo Walcott: You would Come Back Stronger

Former England captain David Beckham has advised Theo Walcott not to be disheartened at his surprise exclusion from the 23-man final World Cup squad recently. In a text message, Beckham asked the Arsenal winger to keep his head up and work hard to come back strongly.

David Bechkam is now in South Africa with the England squad as he has been included in Fabio Capello’s backroom staff. The former Manchester United star would work with the squad by providing motivation and deal with the problems they face. Beckham was ruled out of the World Cup 2010 due to his achilles tendon injury.

David Beckham has also expressed his desire to share his personal experience regarding how he recovered from frustrations during his illustrious career.

Frustration is nothing new to David Beckham. He received red card against Argentina during FIFA World Cup 1998, but later on became captain of the Three Lions. He is now one of the most capped England players.

Theo Walcott was a surprise inclusion in England’s World Cup squad 2006 when he was just 17, but this time he has been the centre of all attention for a totally reverse decision. However, the winger said he would come back from the disappointment and try hard to force his way into the England team for the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign starting from September this year.
