Manchester United Wants to Sign Striker Luis Suarez

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is believed to be interested in Ajax striker Luis Suarez. The 23-year-old Uruguayan has been in sparkling form recently. Tottenham Hotspur is also heavily linked with the 23-year-old who scored 35 goals for Ajax in his 33 appearances in the Dutch league last season. He is reportedly valuated at around £30 million.

The youngster has also transformed his club form into international stage scoring 11 goals in 33 caps for his country. Recently, he scored the wining goal for Uruguay against Mexico in the ongoing World Cup and earned a much-needed victory for his country with which ensuring Mexico’s progress to the knock out round.

It is also understood that Barcelona has also revealed their interest in the player, but it seems less likely Barcelona would be as keen to sign him as they were before signing David Villa recently.

Now, Tottenham would have to face some stiff competition from Manchester United in the race to secure the service of Suarez. However, though Tottenham offers Champions League football, the player is reportedly interested to move to either Manchester United or Barcelona.

However, it is not yet revealed whether Sir Alex Ferguson is going to make a formal bid for the player very soon, but it seems less likely that Tottenham would be able to lure Suarez away from Ajax with Champion league football.
