Miss Nepal 2010 beauty Pageant in August

Miss Nepal 2010 is expected to take place in August and the organizers have started to take their preparations for the event. In 2008, the event could not take place because of strong protest from the Maoists. The winner of this year’s event will represent the country in Miss World 2010.
The Hidden Treasure is the company that it organizing Miss Nepal and there is already an official website: http://www.missnepal.com.np
Dabur Special Hair Oil will be the main sponsor and the last date of applying is 4 July 2010. NTV is the TV channel that will broadcast the grand finale live in August.
After all the girls submit their applications by 4 July, short listed candidates will be called and provided training. These short listed candidates would fight for the crown.
It is most likely that the Maoists would again call for the cancellation of the pageant. The Maoists feel that beauty pageants are degrading to women and these events do not increase the respect of the girls in society in any way. They also consider it as a corporate conspiracy to degrade Nepalese women.
Right now, Nepal is going through a very rough time. There is little hope of a peaceful solution to the political crisis. So, if things turn violent then the organizers of Miss Nepal 2010 beauty pageant may suffer a serious setback.

  1. I think you are astupid person like the Maoist. Miss Nepal can be taken across the border to India and the cost is not going to be much. Why not in Darjelling or Naini Tal and so on. Where there is a will they will be a way!
