The Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) is located in Kota, Rajasthan which is approximately 500 km from New Delhi. Formerly known as the Engineering College, Kota, the university was established in 2005 to improve the standard of technical education in Rajasthan.

The university is located on Kota-Rawabhata Road, about 10 km from Kota Bus Stand and 14 km from Kota Railway station.
