Wimbledon Tennis 2010 Live on Star Sports TV Channel in South Asia

While football fans are excited with the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2010, tennis fans now also have enough reasons to be excited as Wimbledon 2010 is all set to begin from 21 June. All the matches will be held at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Wimbledon in London.

Wimbledon is one of the four grand slam tournaments and the oldest tournament in tennis. Wimbledon 2010 will be the 124th edition of this prestigious tournament.

Roger Federer is the defending champion of men’s singles, while Serena Williams holds the women’s singles title. Both of them are first seed in men’s and women’s singles events respectively for this year’s tournament.

South Asian tennis fans can watch the Wimbledon 2010 matches live on Star Sports television channel. Nadal, who recently clinched his 5th French Open title, defeated Federer in an epic final in Wimbledon 2008. Djokovic, Murray and Soderling are among the some other favorites for men’s singles.

Besides Williams sisters, other favorites of women’s singles event are Henin, Clijsters, Sharapova, Wozniacki, Jankovic, Stosur and Schiavone.
