Yaya Toure could be Involved in Fabregas Swap Deal

Barcelona could offer its out-of-favor midfielder Yaya Toure in an attempt to make a part swap part cash deal to sign Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas.

The Catalan side has already had a £29 million bid rejected by the Gunners. Now, they could put Yaya and about £10 million on offer for Arsenal in an attempt to acquire the service of Fabregas.

Reports in the media suggest that Barcelona is going to make an improved bid for the Spanish midfielder before the World Cup 2010 final kicks off on 11 June. Barcelona’s outgoing chairman Joan Laporta wants to make the deal signed in his stint so that the credit of bringing in the former Barcelona student goes to his hat.

Arsenal, on the other hand, has valuated their most prized asset in the range of £50 to £60 million. The North London club is showing no sign of urgency as they want to capitalize on the player’s class and talent.

Cesc Fabregas, who revealed his wish to join the Spanish giants, has kept quite recently as he is totally focused on his World Cup campaign with Spain.

Now, it seems that Yaya Toure could be involved in the Fabregas deal. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has always been an admirer of the midfielder whose brother Kolo Toure also played under Wenger at Arsenal. In fact, Wenger tried to land the midfielder earlier too.

Yaya Toure has also been linked with a move to Manchester City. A move to City would unite him with his brother Kolo Toure who is now the captain of the club.
