Chelsea Boss Carlo Ancelotti: I want to Win Treble Next Season

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has recently revealed his desire of brining Champions League title next season at Stamford Bridge. Ancelotti took over as the Blues manager last summer and helped them win a prestigious ‘Double’ including Premier League as well as FA Cup in his debut season with Chelsea.

Now, the former AC Milan manager wants to enjoy Champions League glory with the likes of John Terry and Frank Lampard next season. In fact, the 51-year-old is eyeing on a ‘Treble’ including Premier League and Champions League.

Ancelotti said, “Our aim is to do better than last year in the Champions League. We went out too early. It is not so easy to be competitive in every competition. We have to defend the Premier League title. We want to do our best in all the competitions.

Chelsea could not ever win Champions League title. Their best ever European performance came two years back when they reached the Champions League final before losing to Manchester United. That time Avram Grant was at the helm of the Blues.

Carlo Ancelotti, however, guided AC Milan to win Champion League on two occasions and now he wants to do it with Chelsea. Ancelotti won the Champions League title twice with AC Milan as a player too.

So, it is pretty much understandable that Ancelotti knows how to bring out success in Europe and Chelsea would like to accomplish the Champion League glory using his vast experience.

Meanwhile, Ancelotti has said that he is not worried about his ageing squad. He also believes that he does not need to add any new forward in his squad and is happy with the likes of Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka. However, he is desperate to keep hold on left back Ashley Cole who has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.
