Yesterday was a tough day for the Indian batsmen. First of all, they were forced to follow on and when they came to bat in the second innings, they suffered early loss. Gautam Gambhir was out for 0 and Virender Sehwag could not score more than 31. Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar put up a 119-run partnership in the third wicket. Darvid scored 44 runs but he stayed on the crease for 209 minutes and faced 152 balls. On the other hand, Tendulkar scored 84 runs off just 142 balls. Tendulkar scored 11 boundaries and one massive six.

For the Indian cricket fans, the only happy part of the day was the batting of Tendulkar. However, Sri Lankan bowlers Malinga had other things in his mind. He captured three wickets in the second innings from just nine overs of bowling. Malinga just gave 33 runs. He dismissed both Tendulkar and Dravid within a matter of few minutes. Malinga also took the wicket of Gautam Gambhir.
