I Hate Luv Storys hero Imran Khan and Avantika Malik are getting married in 2011

Finally, Bollywood’s chocolate boy, Imran Khan, announced that he is getting married to his longtime girlfriend, Avantika Malik, in January 2011. On January 16, 2010, Imran Khan and Avantika Malik got engaged.

The engagement ceremony took place at the Malik family farmhouse in Karjat. During the engagement, Imran Khan gifted a red colored Volkswagen Beatle to Avantika. It was especially imported from Europe. The ring, which he gifted to Avantika, was designed by him. It was a big diamond ring surrounded by small diamonds.

At the engagement ceremony, Imran Khan wore a bandhgala sherwani designed by Karan Johar and Varun Bahl. Avantika wore a blue dress designed by Varun Bahl. Special chefs had been flown from Lucknow to prepare Mughlai dishes.

Around 300 people were invited to the ceremony including Imran’s maternal uncle, Aamir Khan, wife Kiran Rao and son Junaid. Aamir’s ex-wife, Reena, and estranged brother, Faisal Khan, also attended the ceremony. Kunal Kapoor, Kunal Kohli, Purab Kohli, Karan Johar, Abhay Deol and some other famous Bollywood personalities also attended the ceremony.

The engagement happened in the middle of Imran Khan’s busy acting schedule. Hence, he had to fly to New Zealand for shooting.

Imran Khan and Avantika Malik met at a social party and fell for each other. 23 year old Avantika Malik is the daughter of TV18’s headhoncho, Vandana Malik. Prior to Imran Khan, Avantika Malik had a relationship with another popular Bollywood actor, Ranbir Kapoor.
