Brazilian star Kaka signed for Real Madrid last summer in a move away from AC Milan, but failed to show the kind of performance that earned him the FIFA World Player of the Year award in 2007 due to his dominating show for AC Milan.
Now,
Reports available in the media suggest that Kaka is not very much in the plans of new Real Madrid manger Jose Mourinho who is rather more impressed by the Dutch midfielder Rafael van der Vaart.
Recently, Kaka’s father, Bosco Leite, has reportedly talked to the club director Jose Angel Sanchez to know if his son is in Mourinho’s plans for the next season. Though club president Florentino Perez is keen to keep hold on Kaka, Mourinho’s stance is not yet very clear.
Mourinho, who joined Real Madrid after winning an unprecedented ‘treble’ with Inter Milan last season, has already set his sight on the creative players like Steven Gerrard and Mesut Ozil. However, both the players are most likely to stay at their current club as of now.
So, from this point of view it seems Real Madrid may not attempt to offload Kaka this summer. However, there is still a possibility Kaka could be up for sale, if either Ozil or Gerrard makes a last minute change in their mind.
Well, these are all still speculations or rumors coming in the media. Kaka is a great player and Real Madrid spent £56 million for him just a year ago. It is true that he suffered an injury-hit debut season with the Los Blancos as he made only 22 league appearances scoring 8 goals. So, Real Madrid may want to give him another chance next season.
