Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were at the height of their relationship when Milenge Milenge was made and that is the problem with the movie. Everybody knows it is old and it is written all over the movie.
Made on S K Films Enterprises banner, Milenge Milenge is produced by Boney Kapoor and directed by Satish Kaushik. The movie stars Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles. Other major actor includes Aarti Chhabria, Satish Shah, Delnaz Paul, Kirron Kher, Himani Shivpuri, Satish Kaushik, Sarfaraz Khan, and Panini Rajkumar.
Milenge Milenge is a wishy washy romantic melodrama. If you love romantic movies or want to patch up with your girlfriend then this is the ideal movie for you. It has all the necessary ingredients of a typical romantic movie, a hoplessly romantic heroine, beautiful locale and romantic songs.
Milenge Milenge is the rip-off of 2001
Piya (Kareena Kapoor) wants some one who does not smoke or drink and who would love her very much and most importantly, who would not lie to her. Amit/ Immy (Shahid Kapoor) is a heavy drinker, chain smoker and liar. Immy and Piya meet at
Somehow Immy gets hold of Piya’s personal diary and comes to know about her likes and dislikes and then pretends to be her dream guy. Initially, Immy was not serious but then he also fell for Piya. Then Piya sees her diary in Immy’s room and understands what had been going on and leaves Immy.
Three years have gone since Piya and Immy met and the two have gone their own ways. Immy finished his study and returned from abroad while Piya is now a successful music composer. Though they are getting married, they still have feelings for each other.
Milenge Milenge has an interesting story. Fate plays a very important role. Immy and Piya come close and fall in love but then separates and meets at the end.
Shahid Kapoor looks very young and boyish while Kareena Kapoor also looks very young. Himesh Reshammiya’s music is okay.
Overall, Milenge Milenge is nothing special but an enjoyable movie.
