V P Divya: Youngest researcher gets into Limca Book of Records

Twenty year old, V P Divya, an under graduate student of Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology, entered the Limca Book of Records for having the highest number of International research publications to her credit at such a young age.

V V R Murthy of Limca Book of Records told reporters that V P Divya will be the first one to register such a record.

For her research, Divya received assistance from Professor Ravi Babu of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. Divya said, “Having shown exemplary interest in electrical engineering at an early age, I started writing my own research analysis about normal domestic appliances such as a fuse when I was child and then went on to join engineering and won approval for the quality research from first year itself.”

Prof. D N Reddy, Vice Chancellor, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, said that Divya had been a keen observer of the latest developments in the power sector and she wrote her first research paper at the age of sixteen.

Till date, Divya’s work has been published in 16 national and international publications and there are seven more in the pipeline. Mr. Reddy said that Divya’s research papers have been recommended for best research paper awards by many famous international organizations including the World Congress on Engineering and Computer Science (WCECS), the World Scientific and Engineering Academy and Society (WSEAS) and International Association of Engineering (IAENG).
