Viewsonic VX2739wm: The 27 inch LCD monitor is now in India

With CRT monitors becoming a thing of past LCD monitors are becoming more and more popular. Initially, they were quite expensive but prices came down as more and more companies started to produce LCD display.

American display manufacturer, ViewSonic Corp. launched VX2739wm, a 27 inch monitor in India. The device comes with a three year warranty and costs Rs.24,999.

The VX2739wm measures 647mm(W) x 490mm(H) x 250mm(D) and weighs 6.8 kgs.

The ViewSonic VX2739wm is a 27 inch monitor with a response time of 1 milisecond. It supports 1080 Full HD panel and has a contrast ratio of 100,000:1. The unit also has built-in speakers with SRS Premium Sound. This is a great display for gaming and entertainment that can be easily connected to a wide range of devices including gaming console, cable or satellite box and DVD players.

On the occasion, Gautam Ghosh, Country Manager, ViewSonic India, said that the VX2739wm is the world’s first 27 inch full HD monitor with 1 ms response time.

The VX2739wm offers HDMI, DVI and VGA for video connectivity. It also has a 4-port USB hub. The monitor also has ECO mode feature which would help it save energy up to 35%.

The VX2739wm is also Windows 7 certified. When connected with PC the device will provide display up to 1920×1080 resolution non Interlaced. While connected to Mac it will provide 1920×1080 resolution Non-Interlaced.
