Dhoom 3 Script is being Written

After the raving success of Dhoom and Dhoom 2, Dhoom 3 now seems to be in the making. The script of the next sequel of Dhoom series is now being written. Abhishek Bachchan, who starred in both of the previous two movies, recently revealed the news that Yash Raj Films is now preparing for the Dhoom 3 project.

The script of Dhoom, which was released in 2004, was written by Vijay Krishna Acharya, while its sequel was penned jointly by Vijay Krishna Acharya and Aditya Chopra.

Recently, Abhishek Bachchan met Uday Chopra to talk about the next sequel and he later said Dhoom 3 would do better. The movie is expected to hit the screen in 2012.

Both Abhishek and Uday were in two key roles of the previous two movies and it is pretty much certain both of them will be in Dhoom 3 too. Like the previous two films, Dhoom 3 would most probably be directed by Sanjay Gadhvi.

Both the movies are based on a story where a cop along with his assistant chases an intelligent thief who masterminds some breathtaking thefts.

In Dhoom, John Abraham played the role of the thief, while Dhoom 2 had Hrithik Roshan in the same role. However, it is not yet revealed who is going to be in the role of the thief in Dhoom 3.

Dhoom 2 director Sanjay Gadhvi sued by IFC for cheating

Sanjay Gadhvi, the director behind hit movies like Dhoom, Dhoom 2 has been sued by The Indian Film Company (IFC) for cheating.

The production company said that it incurred losses worth Rs. 52 million and filed a case under Section 420 of the IPC.

The Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, New Delhi, on June 5, 2010 received the case. The court said that there is sufficient material to proceed with the complaint.

Sanjay Gadhvi was planning to shoot a movie titled 7 Days In Paris. Initially, Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif were roped in for the central characters but Sanjay Gadhvi could not submit script in time. As a result, the studio told the two actors to accept other projects. After few months, Sanjay Gadhvi said that he would do a fresh casting and decided to go with Neil Nitin Mukesh and Genelia D’Souza.

The studio then hired production crew and already started pre-production works such as designing costumes, making trials. Even the studio sent people to different places for finding out shooting spots for the movie. However, this time, Sanjay Gadhvi could not deliver the final script.

The producers became very anxious and once again they were forced to let go the actors and saw their project fail despite investing lot of money. A source said that when the producers contacted Gadhvi to know about the conditions of the script. He said that he was not interested in the subject and does not want to continue the project.

This was followed by a complaint filed by IFC and the court said that there are enough materials to proceed with the complaint.
