Tata Motors launched Indigo e-CS fuel efficient luxury sedan

India’s largest auto producer, Tata Motors Corp., launched Tata Indigo e-CS., a new fuel efficient Sedan. The Indigo e-CS is a follow up of Tata’s Indigo CS.

Tata claimed that the Indigo e-CS is the most fuel efficient engine in the market. It comes with a 1.4 liter 1,396 cc diesel engine which can produce a maximum power of 70 PS @ 4,000 rpm. There is also a 1.2 liter 1,193 cc petrol engine version with 32-bit microprocessor which can produce a maximum power of 65 PS @5,000 rpm.

The Indigo e-CS has a fuel efficiency of 23.03 km/litre, certified by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). Both the engines meet the norms of Bharat Stage IV emission standard. The Indigo e-CS has a kerb weight of 1,065 kg.

Tata Indigo e-CS is a luxury sedan. It is equipped with a very fashionable grille, body colored bumpers, indicators mounted on rear view mirrors, and rub rails with chrome inserts. Comfort features include Bluetooth enabled music system, electrically controlled rear view mirrors. The car has a rack and pinion steering system with collapsible steering column.

The diesel engine version would cost Rs.5.13 lakh while the petrol version would cost Rs.4.07 lakh. Tata will also provide the car with unlimited running capability for one and half year.
