In the press meet of My Name Is Khan, Shah Rukh Khan revealed his new look in the movie. Shah Rukh Khan said that it was his new “Avatar.” In My Name Is Khan (MNIK), Shah Rukh Khan’s character’s name is Rizwaan Khan. Shah Rukh said that it was one of the most challenging roles in his career. Shah Rukh Khan’s character, Rizwaan Khan suffers from autism. He is an Indian Muslim living in “My Name Is Khan’ is the most special film for both Karan Johar and me. And unlike the rumors, it’s not about terrorism, or 9/11. It’s about a relationship between two people, between an individual and the State, and between an individual and the country. In short, there the three important components: love story, Islam and a mild form of autism, which forms the core of MNIK ,”
Regarding the title of the Shah Rukh said that he has no intention to prove anything with the movie. The title could have been “My Name Is Shah Rukh” but that did not happen. Regarding his deal with Fox Studios, Shah Rukh Khan said that it was a new beginning for Indian Cinema because it entered in the world market without compromising on its terms, conditions and essence. Shah Rukh Khan thanked Karan Johar for making such a movie and allowing him to become a part of it.
