It looks like age is taking its toll on Shahrukh Khan. Shahrukh is having a hard time making his upcoming movie, Ra.One. Ra.One is a sci-fi movie and one of the dream projects of Shahrukh Khan. In the movie, the actor plays a super hero who has

the capability to stalling electricity when he wishes to.

However, the movie is giving Shahrukh Khan sleepless nights. Bobby Chawla, Shahrukh Khan’s friend and financial manager became ill and was in bed rest.

As a result, the actor had to look into the details of the overall production process as well as act his movies. The problem is that the overall expense of the sequences came out to be higher than expected.

Everytime Shahrukh Khan starts to shoot a new sequence, he remains fidgety all the time due to the high cost. People even heard Shahrukh Khan saying that he would have to perform in big shot parties to collect funds for his movie.

To make matters worst, Shahrukh’s backpain returned due the stressful working schedule. Because of his back pain, he could not attend IIFA Awards 2010.

After Amitabh Bachchan came to know about Shahrukh Khan’s illness he Twitted wishing Shahrukh Khan’s recovery. "Speedy recovery for your back Shah Rukh! It is such a bother really. I take resort through medication, but massage is better."

Ra. One is a sci-fi action movie, where Shahrukh Khan would be seen playing the role of a superhero for the first time in his career. Shahrukh would be seen doing to some serious stunts for the movie. For special effects specialists have been hired form Hollywood.

No Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om 2!

Rumors have it in the media that Shah Rukh Khan may not appear in the sequel of 2007 hit Om Shanti Om. There are speculations suggesting that director Farah Khan could rope in Salman Khan for the male lead role in Om Shanti Om 2.

Shah Rukh’s strained relationship with Salman Khan is not a secret anymore and everybody knows the two stars always avoid each other since their high-profile bust up at the birthday party of Katrina Kaif.

Farah Khan, the director of Om Shanti Om, has recently stepped up to bridge up the gap between Shah Rukh and Salman. However, it may not be that easy for Farah as the two actors still have hatred for each other.

Recently, Salman Khan said to the media, “What Shahrukh does or says is not of the least interest to me but he is one of the most insecure actors. If he could get rid of that he would actually be a nice fellow.”

Indian daily, Hindustan Times, recently reported that Salman and Farah Khan met in a television show recently. During their discussions about various things, it was revealed that Salman Khan was initially offered the lead roles of Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om, but Shah Rukh later bagged both the movies.

Both the movies worked very well in the box office and Shah Rukh was nominated for Flimfare Best Actor award for his performance in both the movies.

It was also revealed in the same TV show that Salman Khan could be Shah Rukh’s replacement in the sequels of both the movies. Though Farah and Salman were not in serious mode at that time and it could be nothing but a joke, there are reasons Farah Khan could opt for Salman for the sequels of the two movies.

The friendship of Farah and Shah Rukh is well-known in the industry, but reports in the media suggest that their friendship is not as sweet as it was once. So, Farah may have already started to think about life without Shah Rukh Khan.

However, it is still a rumor that Salman Khan would play the male lead roles in Main Hoon Na 2 and Om Shanti Om 2 as nothing has been confirmed yet.

Shahrukh Khan in Pepsodent Papa & Pappu Campaign

Star Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan will now be seen in television ad of Pepsodent toothpaste. Pepsodent’s upcoming ad campaign Papa & Pappu (P&P) will feature Shahrukh. The actor has already endorsed various brands including Hyundai Santro, Navratna Oil etc.

Srinandan Sundaram, the category head of Oral Care, Hindustan Unilever Limited, is happy to have roped in Shahrukh Khan for the endorsement campaign.

Mr. Sundaram said, “Shah Rukh Khan is the best choice for 'Papa' in the campaign as the super successful actor also practices what he preaches. He is the perfect role model of a father who finds ways to spend time with his own children away from his active schedule and stardom.”

Many companies in India are interested to use Shahrukh’s brand value to promote their products. He has immense popularity among the Indian moviegoers and companies always try to capitalize on it.

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge completed 750 weeks

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol is one of the most loveable couples of the Indian cinema. They first came together in 1993 with Yash Chopra’s Baazigar. From then on, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol appeared in some of the most successful movies ever produced in Bollywood cinema. In 1995, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol appeared in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge which went on become the biggest blockbusters of all time. The movie is still viewed by many people.

Currently, DDLJ is running in Maratha Mandir theatre in Mumbai and in February it crossed 750 weeks, and a rare achievement in Indian cinema. DDLJ was released on 20^th October 1995. It was directed by Aditya Chopra¸ son of director Yash Chopra.

In DDLJ, Shah Rukh Khan played the role of Raj Malhotra, a boy of Indian origin who lives in London and Kajol played the role of Simran Singh, who also lives in London. The two met with each other when they went on a tour in Europe and eventually they fall in love. However, Simran’s father didn’t approve of this relationship and wanted marry her to his friend’s son in India. However, Raj follows Simran to India and wins her heart and finally they live happily ever after. Though it is almost fifteen years, this movie has been released, people are very much crazy about this movie.

Shah Rukh Khan will play super hero in his next movie Ra 1

In 2006, Hrithik Roshan blazes the silver screen with his super hero flick Krrish. Then in 2008, Abhishekh Bachchan came up with another super hero Drona which did not do very well at the box office. Now, it is Shah Rukh Khan Stunt the top actor Bollywood will play super hero in his upcoming movie Ra 1. The movie will be produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s own production house Red Chillies Entertainment and it will be directed by Anubhav Sinha. Rumor is out that Kareena Kapoor will play the female lead in the movie. A portion of the film will be animated and Kareena Kapoor will also have her animated version in the movie.

In the movie, Shah Rukh Khan Plays a Miami based software engineer named Shekhar who as a video game hero take his own self created techno monster Ra 1. The portion of the movie will be shoot in Miami. Film makers have already taken permission to close parts oven avenue in Miami for car chase sequence that will also extend to various other parts of the city. Ueli Steiger is the cinematographer and David Benullo will be the screenwriter for the movie. Most of the crew will be from India and a few extra will be hired from the US.

The year 2009 had been very bad for Shah Rukh Khan and Bollywood. The 44-year-old actor has severely suffered from shoulder injury and remained away from work. Shahrukh Khan Wasting a Lot of Money for a Birthday

Shahrukh Khan is a very rich man and he is just celebrating the birthday of his wife in Rome of Italy. Well, I have mix feeling about it. On the one hand, he is a rich man and he has every right to spend his in every way he likes. And other rich men in India do almost more less the same thing. However, on the other hand, I think that it is the waste of money and Shahrukh Khan comes from a country where there are 60 million malnourish children. My Name Is Khan is the upcoming movie of Shah Rukh Khan and after a long time, the movie will unite the Bollywood dream team- Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Karan Johar. • Karan Johar is the director and co-producer of the movie. He became very upset when actor Aamir Bashir was not given the U.S Visa. Post Mumbai terrorist attack, US consulate became very much cautious. Aamir Bashir was supposed to play the younger brother of Shah Rukh Khan but Jimmy Shergill will play the role now. • In My Name Is Khan, Shah Rukh Khan plays the role Rizwaan Khan, an India Muslim, who lives in San Francisco. Rizwaan Khan suffers form Asperger’s Syndrom. In the movie, the love story between Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol gives the movie an emotional touch. Asperger’s Syndrome is a neurobiological problem. People suffering from Asperger’s Syndrome are very intelligent but lack social skills especially picking non-verbal cues like eye-contact and they take up the literal meaning of any comment. They are also very sensitive to sounds, smells and colors. To play an autistic person, Shah Rukh Khan read books, watched documentaries and met physicians to gain better understanding how autistic people behave. Shah Rukh said after doing his research he has great respects for parents who brings up autistic children.

• Previously, My Name is Khan was supposed to open at the end of 2009 but it was postponed to early 2010. This happened due to the stand off between multiplex owners and movie producers over revenue sharing. The stand-off started on April 4, 2009 and ended in June. It caused a loss worth $40 to $60 million in revenue.

• In the movie, Tanay Chheda played young Shah Rukh Khan. He played young Jamal in Slumdog Millionaire.

• Karan Johar went to the 62^nd Cannes Film Festival to look for buyers for My Name is Khan. Few years ago, Karan Johar also promoted his Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna in Cannes.

• In My Name Is Khan, Shah Rukh Khan dons three different looks and for the first time, King Khan will be seen in short hair on the screen. Hairdresser Dilshad took care of Shah Rukh Khan’s hair for the movie. For the movie, Shah Rukh Khan sports crew cut hair. For the character, Shah Rukh Khan also gained weight.

• In addition, Shah Rukh Khan’s character Rizwaan Khan has been given a black stone in the movie. He holds it all the time. Director Karan Johar did it to give the character a distinct look. Fox Searchlight acquired the distribution rights of My Names Is Khan

My Name Is Khan, the upcoming movie of Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar is going to release next year. Famous Hollywood Studio, Fox Searchlight, bought the distribution rights of the movie for Rs.1 billion. It will handle the distribution of the movie in India, the U.S and the rest of the world. In the movie, Shah Rukh Khan plays Rizwaan Khan, an Indian Muslim living in San Francisco, who suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome, an autism disorder for which he can not properly communicate with people. Still, he goes out on this life changing journey around USA and creates a new revolution. The movie is said to be based on a true story.

On August 6, 2009, Fox Star Studios India, the joint venture between 20^th Century Fox and Star, announced the deal. Fox Searchlight acquired the movie title. Fox Searchlight Star India also bought the distribution rights of Slumdog Millionaire, the Oscar winning movie of British director, Danny Boyle.

In the press meet of My Name Is Khan, Shah Rukh Khan jokingly said that he had joined with Fox because he wanted to marry Megan Fox. In the end, Khan expressed his happiness that Indian cinema is getting the opportunity to enter into the world market.

Rizwaan Khan: Shah Rukh Khan’s new avatar in My Name Is Khan

In the press meet of My Name Is Khan, Shah Rukh Khan revealed his new look in the movie. Shah Rukh Khan said that it was his new “Avatar.” In My Name Is Khan (MNIK), Shah Rukh Khan’s character’s name is Rizwaan Khan. Shah Rukh said that it was one of the most challenging roles in his career. Shah Rukh Khan’s character, Rizwaan Khan suffers from autism. He is an Indian Muslim living in San Francisco who embarks on a remarkable journey around USA motivating people, starting debate and creating a revolution. Shah Rukh Khan said:

“My Name Is Khan’ is the most special film for both Karan Johar and me. And unlike the rumors, it’s not about terrorism, or 9/11. It’s about a relationship between two people, between an individual and the State, and between an individual and the country. In short, there the three important components: love story, Islam and a mild form of autism, which forms the core of MNIK ,”

Regarding the title of the Shah Rukh said that he has no intention to prove anything with the movie. The title could have been “My Name Is Shah Rukh” but that did not happen. Regarding his deal with Fox Studios, Shah Rukh Khan said that it was a new beginning for Indian Cinema because it entered in the world market without compromising on its terms, conditions and essence. Shah Rukh Khan thanked Karan Johar for making such a movie and allowing him to become a part of it.
