Geethu mohandas wedding: Some Information

Famous Malayalam actress Geethu Mohandas got married on November 14, 2009. She got married to Rajiv Ravi, one of the top cinematographers in Malayalam cinema. The marriage ceremony took place in Kochi. The couple has been dating for two years. Rajiv Ravi is a graduate from the Pune Film Institute and he has great influence on the career of Geetu Mohandas. He helped her to choose the right kind of movies. Geethu’s brother Arjun Mohandas is a physician who works in Chicago, Illinois.

Affectionately called Geethu by his family, her real name is Gayathri Mohandas. She started her career as a child artist in 1986 when she was five years old. In her first movie, “Onnu Mudhal Poojyam Vare,” she acted with Mohanlal, another top Malayalam movie actor. The movie tells the story of a child who discovers her father in an anonymous telephone caller. With her talented acting she caught the attention of Malayalam movie goers in her debut movie. She then went on to acted with Baby Shalini in Fazil’s Tamil remake of “Ente Mamattikkuttiyammakku.” The movie titled “En Bommukutty Ammavukku” became very successful. Geetu also worked with Madhavan in another successful Malayalam movie Nala Damayanti.

Unlike other movie actresses who went to make careers in mainstream masala movies, Geetu chose characters that are more challenging to play. She is now planning to start out as a director in her next movie.
