Nepal: A Country Not Attractive for Doctors?

It is a sad dilemma for a poor country like Nepal. On one hand, most people cannot afford private clinics and doctors. So, they have to do government run hospitals. On the other hand, the doctors in government hospitals don’t get good salary as Nepalese government cannot afford that. Thus, it has become a vicious circle and in the end, most doctors these days are living not only the government hospitals but also the country. As a result, already, there is shortage of doctors in the country and within a decade this shortage will reach to a disastrous level unless something drastic is done right away.
Nepalese government recently increased the salary of doctors but surely the government has to think of other sectors and cannot increase salary substantially. This is a dilemma that almost every poor country has to face these days. There is no solution to this problem.
