The National Board of Examinations (NBE) is an autonomous body under the Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. It was established in 1975 with an aim to conduct postgraduate courses in various disciplines of modern medicine and allied sciences. The exam is taken all over India and candidates are awarded Diplomate of National Board (DNB). The NBE exam emphasizes on proper application of theoretical knowledge in the practice.
