Happy Pohela Boishakh & Bangla Year 1417: SMS and Greetings

All the people in Bangladesh will celebrate Tomorrow 14 April as the beginning of New Year. We like to call it Pohela Boishakh and greet each other by saying Shubho Noboborsho (happy New Year). People of Bengali origin in Indian states of West Bengal and Tripura will celebrate the New year on 15 April (Thursday) 2010. Anyway, this time, in Dhaka, massive preparations have been taken to celebrate new year.
I am literately shocked at the price of Hilsha fish here. Depending on the size, the price of one KG Hilsha is from 1200-2500 Taka ($17-35$). So, many people will not be able to buy and eat this fish in the country. I find it some difficult to understand the tradition of eating Hilsha in Pohela Boishakh because the season of this fish is rainy season (June-July) not April.
The main celebration in Dhaka will place in and around Dhaka University. In the morning, thousands of people will go to Ramna Park to listen to the music of Chhayanat.
If you are looking for SMS ideas for Pohela Boishakh then I have just one suggestion for you, just type in your mobile phone: Shubho Noboborsho. If you have the option then type in Bangla.
