CLAT results 2010 will be announced online

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2010 results will be announced on May 29, 2010.

The CLAT-2010 is being conducted by National Law Institute University, Bhopal.

Every year, CLAT is conducted to admit students in under graduate law courses- BA LLB in eleven National Law Universities and also for admission in the post-graduate programee (LL.M).

Candidates who passed the exam should send their confirmation and acceptance of admission by June 2, 2010. Admissions will be closed on June 28, 2010 and classes will start from July 1, 2010. Selection will be made based on candidate’s all India Rank.

The CLAT 2010 exam is applicable to get admission in LL.M courses offered by its eleven member universities. They are:

National Law School of India University, Bangalore.

NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad

National Law Institute University, Bhopal.

West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata.

National Law University, Jodhpur.

Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur.

Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar.

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow.

Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala.

Chanakya National Law University, Patna.

National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi.

The CLAT result is published based on merit, preference, gender, state and reservation. If a candidate’s name appears in more than one list, he/she will be given the opportunity to chose his preferred institution through any of the list within a specific time limit.

If two or more candidates acquire same marks then it will be resolved in one of the three ways- higher marks in Legal Aptitude/Awareness, based on age, draw of lots.

After passing the exam, candidates will have to deposit a sum of Rs. 25,000 which is non-refundable.
