CUSAT Entrance 2010 published on Internet

The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) published the CAT result. The entrance exam was held on May 9, 2010, to admit students in various B-Tech courses and post graduate courses.

There will be a ten day option for registration. The dates of counseling will be decided based on the counseling dates of Kerala Entrance Exam test (2010). Students can also counsel online.

This year, 24,712 students appeared at the CAT exam which accounts for 89% of the total applicants. There are 1002 seats available at different B-Tech courses at the Thrikkakara and the Pulincunnu campus. Majority of the seats belong to the Trhikkakara campus fifty percent of which are reserved for Keralites.

The Cochin University of Science and Technology was established in 1971 as a sign of commitment from the government o Kerala towards the scientific policy resolution taken up by the Central Government on March 4, 1958. The university was created to develop the standards of the post-graduate studies and research in science, technology, industry and commerce. In February 1986, the institution was renamed Cochin University of Science and Technology.

The motto of the University is ‘Tejaswinavadhitamastu’ which means “May Learning illumine us both.” Here “both” refers to the teachers and the students. From 1996, CUSAT started its students and faculty exchange program.
