Sri Ramaswamy Memorial University is a private university located in Tamil Nadu, India. The university has four campuses located in Kattankulatur, Kancheepuram district, Ramapuram, Vadapalani, Trichy and one in Modinagar, near Delhi.

It is a co-educational institution. Previously it was affiliated to Anna University, as SRM Engineering College. The instituted was renamed SRM Institute of Science and Technology and then came to be known as SRM University.

The history of SRM can be traced back to 1968. The Valliammai Society by Mr. T. R. Pachamuthu. He started a primary school named Florence Nightingale School which later came to be known as (SRM Nightingale School).

SRM Group, over the years, created several institutions.
