UP Police Recruitment Result 2010 is Out

UP Police recruitment results 2010 has been announced on May 17, 2010 and it is now available on Internet.

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) conducts the recruitment and promotion of police in Uttar Pradesh. UPPRPB conducted exam for 35,000 police constables.

Uttar Pradesh Police is the official law enforcing force in the state of Uttar Pradesh. It is the largest police force in the world working under a single command. Formed in 1861, the year when the Indian Police Act became operational, the UP Police has been working to enforce law and order in the region.

The Head Quarters of the Uttar Pradesh Police is located in Allahabad from the time of its creation. From the beginning, Naini Central Prison is also situated close at Naini.

In order to successfully maintain law and order, the UP Police divided the state into eight zones. Each zone is run by an officer of the rank of Inspector General of Police. He is also an officer of the Indian Police Service. Each Police zone consists of 2 to 3 Police ranges.
