The UPTU Lucknow conducted the SEE UPTU 2010 in the middle of April 2010. The examination is conducted for admission in various graduate and undergraduate courses offered by public and private institutions in UP including Engineering (B.Tech.), Pharmacy (B.Pharm.), Architecture (B.Arch.), Hotel Management (BHMCT), Fashion & Apparel Design Technology (BFAD), MCA/MBA.

“Uttar” means North and “Pradesh” means Province. UP is a state located in the northern part of India. With a population of more than 190 million, it is the world’s most populous sub-national entity. The state has an area of 93,933 sq miles.

Lucknow is the administrative and legislative capital of Uttar Pradesh while Kanpur is the industrial and financial capital of the state.

The Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) was established in 2000 by the government of Uttar Pradesh under the “University Act.” It is of affiliating type. The institution has 238 colleges and institutions, both private and public, offering various graduate, postgraduate, and doctoral level courses in engineering, technology, architecture, pharmacy, hotel management and catering technology. They also offer M.B.A. and M.C.A. programs.
