Aishwarya Rai has returned an offer to act with Brad Pitt in a Hollywood film. The reason she gave was that she was too busy with her Bollywood films and thus, she has not enough time. The second thing is that she does not feel very comfortable with the intimate and hot scenes that are normal parts of a Hollywood movie. Perhaps, the third and unsaid reason is that Aishwarya Rai was never successful in a Hollywood movie.
It is understandable that Aishwarya is not interested to act in romantic scene as she is married. There is no hide and seek about the matter that her husband’s family are not excited about her taking part in movies in which she has to kiss deeply or be in a hot scene with a hero. Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan were not excited with the kissing scene in Dhoom 2 between Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan.
Her fans would perhaps remind you each time that she acted in Hollywood movies like Pink Panther 2 and The Last Legion. However, what they perhaps forget is that in Pink Panther 2, Rai had a very small role and she was not impressive at all in the movie. The Last Legion is a flop movie and hardly anyone remembers it now.
Thus, Aishwarya Rai has perhaps has taken the right decision. She may be an icon actress in

ReplyDeleteIt is soooooo true..you can't compare aishwarya with julia's talent..she is a very beautiful woman but she is not at hollywood standard, she better stay in bollywood and run around trees and hid n seek with a new comer hero..
ReplyDeleteyou're really forgetting the culture differences here. For one, Aishwarya can speak Punjabi, Hindi,Urdu, and English, and in all languages she has made big name films. She may not be comfortable with the intimacy of American films but she has skirted around it in the past, like in Mistress of Spices. I don't know if you have seen any of Aishwarya's bollywood films, but they do not lack in sexuality, however subtle it might be

You all need to accept the fact aishwarya is only famous due to her international brands which take her to an intenational level. It is never due to her acting even her indian movies are flops (raavan being an example.)
