Apple iPhone 4 Pre-Order: Some information

On June 7, 2010, at the Apple World Wide Developers’ Conference (WWDC), Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, finally unveiled Apple iPhone 4, the most talked about phone of the year. Mr. Jobs also announced that Apple would take pre-orders starting from June 15, 2010.

Apple opened up online pre-orders on June 15, 2010 at about 1AM PST / 4AM EST. Unfortunately, the online store website crushed as large number of customers tried to log on to the website. The online store could not handle such huge traffic.

Those of you who are feeling frustrated for not being able to place online orders can also go to AT&T, Best Buy and RadioShack stores for they are also accepting Apple iPhone 4 preorders.

Another sad news for the Apple iPhone 4 enthusiasts is that they would not be able to get the white color iPhone4.

Famous technology blog, TechCrunch, reported that only the black color iPhone 4 is available for pre-order. The store said, “White iPhone currently unavailable for pre-order or in-store pickup.”

The online store could not say the exact day the white color iPhone 4 would be available but said that it would become available some times this summer.

AT&T, the official career of the iPhone 4, published pre-order guides. The guide states one iPhone 4 per household and this rule applies to customers who are buying iPhone 4 for the first time and those who are also upgrading their existing phones.

AT&T is also encouraging buyers to ship their phones to their house or offices directly for they would be able to activate the phone without the carrier’s help.

The new Apple iPhone 4 is very well designed and comes with better features compared to the Android handsets that are available in the market. The Apple

iPhone 4 is a slick looking phone, it has two cameras- 5 megapixel with LED flash and a VGA camera on the front. The phone is powered by Apple’s A4 processor, the same processors are also used in Apple iPad.

The Apple iPhone 4 comes in 16GB and 32 GB version. The 16 GB cost $199 and 32GB $299. The phones will hit the stores on June 24, 2010.

Buyers can also pick up the 8GB iPhone 3GS for $99 that would come to the stores on June 24, 2010.

  1. I am wondering why Apple did such a great mistake, world is thinking that iPhone 4 is going to change the world, but Apple's first step seems very bad
