Apple Scores 3 Million iPad Sales in 80 Days

Apple is in record breaking pace with the sales of its tablet device called iPad. On 31 May, Apple issued a press release that it sold 2 million units of this device in less than 60 days. It took just 22 days for the jump from 2 million to 3 million for the company of Steve Jobs.
The company has issued a press release today and stated that 11,000 apps have been created by developers for iPad since its inception. This indicates that many developers are trying their best to take advantage of the growing popularity of this tablet PC.
A happy Steve Jobs said, "People are loving iPad as it becomes a part of their daily lives. We’re working hard to get this magical product into the hands of even more people around the world, including those in nine more countries next month." iPad is still not sold in most countries of the world and this is an area Steve Jobs should try to work aggressively.
ASUS recently announced that it was going to bring a tablet PC called Eee Pad to compete with Apple’s iPad. For the time being, it seems that there is no competition for iPad and everybody loves iPad.
