Arsenal Gets some Breathing Space about Cesc Fabregas

After intense speculation about the future of Arsenal captain Cesc Fàbregas, it seems that for the time being, Arsenal will have some free time. At this moment, World Cup Football 2010 is going on and also people at Barcelona are very busy with the taking office of their new president. The drama may start again after few a days when a new Barcelona president will be in charge.
Decision makers at Arsenals are at this moment hoping that Barcelona would come up with a new and improved offer for Cesc Fàbregas. They earlier rejected a bid of £29 million for the player from Barcelona. Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger is not interested to sell his most important player. He knows that it will make his team weak. Just three years ago, he saw that the London based club sold their best player Thierry Henry to the same Spanish club. It was not a very happy memory for Wenger but just like Thierry Henry, Cesc Fàbregas is eager to leave London.
Right now, Cesc Fàbregas has expressed his eagerness to go to Barcelona and Arsenal bosses perhaps have the mind set that if they have to sell the player they should get enough money so that they can buy another top class player like him. On the other hand, Barcelona wants to capitalize on the eagerness of Fàbregas to join the Catalon club.
The immediate past president of Barcelona Joan Laporta tried his best to finalize the deal but it did not happen. Now, the new president Sandro Rosell will take his office on July 1, 2010.
So, officials and fans of both the clubs would have to wait for some more days to know about the future of Cesc Fàbregas.
