Everton Wants Landon Donovan on a Permanent Deal

Everton is now interested to secure the service of USA star Landon Donovan permanently. The Los Angles Galaxy star spent 3 months of the second half of the last season at Everton on loan from the MLS club. However, LA Galaxy has no intention of letting him move to Goodison Park permanently.

Everton manager David Moyes has revealed his interest to bring Donovan back on a permanent deal following his impressive performance in the World Cup Football 2010.

Donovan was instrumental behind USA’s qualification to the round of 16 where they were knocked out by Ghana. Though he has been with LA Galaxy since 2005, he has already represented Bayern Munich and Everton on loan.

Landon Donovan is a versatile player who can play in various attacking roles. He can play as a winger, attacking midfielder as well as a striker. Any coach would love to have a player like him, given the options he provides for a team.

In his 10 appearance for Everton, Donovan scored 2 goals in his 3-month spell at the Merseyside club. Though it seems less likely that he would move to Everton permanently, anything could happen depending on the kind of offer Everton makes to him.
