Hyundai Verna Transform is coming to India on June 23rd

South Korean automaker, Hyundai Motor Limited is going to launch its new Verna Transform in India on June 23, 2010. The car price would range from Rs.700,000 to Rs.900,000. Next year, the company is going to launch Hyundai Verna 2011 in India which was unveiled at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show.

Hyundai Motor India Limited, is the second largest exporter of India and one of the top automakers in the region. Cars like Hyundai i10 became a big hit in India. Hyundai officials are hoping that the Hyundai Verna Transform will also get good response from the buyers. Already the Verna Transform has been launched in South Korea and it has become quite popular. The Verna Transform is also sold as Accent in the U.S.

In India, the car will compete with C-segment sedans such as Honda City, Maruti SX4, Ford Fiesta and the upcoming Volkswagen Vento.

The new Hyundai Verna Transform will have major enhancements compared to its predecessor. The exterior of the car has been redesigned and has a revamped front which is considered to be the major problem area of the car. There are new bumpers, side mirror repeaters, radiator grill and Quadra-exhaust headlamps.

The dashboard is fitted with eco-friendly lamps that would help the driver to drive efficiently wasting less fuel. A green will indicate high fuel efficiency and red lamp low fuel efficiency.

The interior also received big enhancements including latest MP3 player, USB port, iPod connectivity. The instrument panel will have blue lighting instead of green. Other features included radio, speedometer, and tachometer dials.

The new Verna Transform will be available in 1.6 litre petrol engine version capable of producing 104 PS @5500 rpm and a fuel efficiency of 12-14 kmpl. There is also the 1.5 litre CDRI version capable of producing 110PS@4000 rpm and a fuel efficiency of 18-20 kmpl.
