Manchester United Revealed Pablo Barrera Interest

Manchester United has revealed their interest in young Mexican winger Pablo Barrera. The 23-year-old has impressed the scouts of various European clubs with this performance for Mexico in the ongoing World Cup. Though he is yet to claim a place in Mexico’s starting eleven, Barrera has turned out to be a super sub for the North American side. He is currently playing for Mexican club Pumas.

Italian club Lazio and English club Tottenham Hotspur are also keen to secure his service. Reports out in the media also suggest that Lazio has already had a loan bid rejected by Pumas. The Serie A club is also believed to be ready to pay £3 million for a permanent deal for Pablo Barrera.

Barrera is well known for his pace and versatility. He can play on both wings with sheer effect and is now considered as a future star of Mexico. With Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes very close to their retirement, Manchester United would now like to sign young players who can fill in their gaps and continue to serve for a long time.

Mexico has already reached the Round of 16 and faces Argentina on 27 June. It would be another opportunity for Barrera to prove his mettle, and thus, paving his way to a European club next season.
