Massimiliano Allegri: New AC Milan Manager in Charge

AC Milan has officially announced the appointment of Massimiliano Allegri as their new manager. A statement published in the official website of AC Milan has revealed the news. It was just a matter of time before Allegri was formally announced as the new AC Milan boss. Recently, the club president Adriano Galliani indicated that the appointment of the new boos would be announced very soon.

Leonardo, who failed to guide Milan to win any silverware last season, left the club at the end of the season and Allegri was always Milan’s first choice replacement of Leonardo. However, the club could not announce it as Allegri was negotiating with Cagliari over a contract termination.

Massimiliano Allegri is one of the most popular young coaches in Italy at the moment and became the best coach of 2008-09 season in Serie A.

AC Milan could not win many titles in the past few seasons. In fact, they won the Serie A title last time in 2004, their only success in Italian league after the turn of the new century. Even they won the Italian Cup last time in 2003. So, AC Milan fans would now hope that Allegri would bring back the golden days of AC Milan.
