Motorola ES400 EDA will be launched on Sprint. Price is not declared

On June 17, 2010, Motorola unveiled its latest smartphone ES400 EDA. This is actually a rugged handset.

The new Enterprise Digital Assistant (EDA) will be released on Sprint. Pricing of the device has not been revealed yet. The EDA is targeted towards sales workers, health care, retail and manufacturing.

The Motorola ES400 EDA with standard battery measures 5.08” x 2.38” x 0.67” and weighs 5.5 oz (including standard battery, stylus, keypad and strap).

It also comes with extended battery and measures 5.08”x 2.38”x 0.85” and weighs 6.5 oz including battery, stylus, keypad and strap.

The ES400 EDA is powered by 600 MHz, ARM 11 processor, MSM7627. It has 256 MB RAM and 1GB flash memory which can be further expanded by microSD up to 32 GB.

It is run by Windows Mobile 6.5.3.

The Motorola ES400 EDA has a 3 inch Pentile diagonal color with haptic “touch vibration response.” The display has a 640 x 480 resolution.

The device has QWERTY; AZERTY; QWERTZ keyboard with LED backlight. It also features Motorola MEUI interface through which users can access application in one touch. It also has a single-touch barcode scanner which works through camera.

Security features include biometric (finger swipe) and PIN code. Other features include integrate speaker, 2.5 mm headphone jack, Bluetooth, PTT wireless or wired headsets, and a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus.

The ES400 EDA has 1540mAh battery rechargeable Li-Ion battery and has a talk time of 6 hours and a standby time of 250 hours.
