MSI launched new gaming notebook PC GX740

MSI launched its new gaming notebook PC GX740. The notebook has MSI’s Turbo Boost Technology that ensures smooth gaming experience and low power consumption.

The machine measures 15.56” x 10.95” x 1.37” and weighs 7 lbs (including 9-cell battery). It comes in brushed metal black and red.

For any gaming notebook PC, three things are most important- processor, visual and audio and the new MSI GX 740 notebook PC succeeds in all three segments.

The PC is powered by Intel Core i7-720QM processor with a clockspeed ranging from 1.6GHz to 2.8GHz and 6MB cache. It has 4GB (2GBx2) DDR3 memory and SATA 500GB hard drive with 7200RPM. The GX740 gaming notebook PC comes with Intel HM55.

The machine comes with Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit version.

It has a 17" WSVGA display with a 1680 x 1050 resolution. The laptop has ATI Radeon HD5870 3D graphics card that comes with GDDR5 1GB VRAM and supports DirectX 11 graphics. It has an integrated 2.0 megapixel webcam.

The GX740 comes with five SRS premium high-fidelity speakers so that users can enjoy the sounds while playing games or watching TV or listening to music.

The GX 740 comes with touch-sensitive hotkey and chiclet keyboard so that games do not have any problem while controlling the keys. It also has highlighted W, A,S,D keys to enable gamers to find directions quickly.

Other features include 4-in-1 Card Reader (SD/MMC/MS/XD), 3 USB 2.) ports, 1

ESATA/USB Combo port, one graphics card output (15-pin, D-Sub), 1 HDMI port, 1 microphone port, 1 headphone port, express card, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and DVD burner.

The MSI GX 740 is powered by 9-cell battery that can give two hours back up. It starts with a base price of $1,399 in the U.S.
