Premier League club Liverpool has valuated right back Glen Johnson at £28 million. The England international has already been a target of Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Barcelona. Despite Liverpool’s poor run last season, Johnson was impressive in his first season at the Merseyside club. He joined Liverpool in a move from Portsmouth in 2009.
Newly-appointed Inter Milan manager Rafael Benitez wants Glen Johnson to follow him at the Italian club this summer. Real Madrid’s new boss Jose Mourinho is also reportedly interested to have Johnson at Bernabéu.
Spanish champion Barcelona has also revealed their interest in the Liverpool left back who can also contribute to attack. His speed down the right flank often creates problem for the opposition.
So, Barcelona would like to sign Glen Johnson as his style would go very well with their flowing attacking style of football. Barcelona has not extended the contract of Dani Alves and it seems the Catalan side is more interested to Glen Johnson.
Benitez considers Johnson as a replacement for Maicon who is heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid. It is interesting that Real Madrid is interested to sing both Maicon and Glen Johnson, even though they play on the same position.
